So, who’s the main man for the Patriots?

Alright, so let’s analyze the following landscape: Tom Brady completely recovers and goes back to the team; he does great at training camp and is ready to go back to the starting quarterback position, then, the question is: will there be space for Matt Cassel too? You bet that there will some.

Now everybody knows that Tom Brady can get injured as easily as any other player out there, and the Patriots also know that the future hall of famer is vital for the team, or at least, it is vital to have a man with some of the qualities of Brady, and Matt Cassel has surely proved that he’s the one.

If Tom Brady falls into inactivity due to a new injury in a future NFL season, now the Patriots are trustful that they have an outstanding second-string quarterback in Cassel, and that their offensive is not going to suffer drastically for the eventual loss of Brady.

The question here is not if Matt Cassel is going to play next season, I’m sure he will, the question here is, how many games is going to steel Cassel from Brady?

I’m sure Tom Brady is a player that can recover from an injury in a great way, but certainly, there are always traces of old injuries in NFL players, and this is what is putting Brady to a level similar to that one of Cassel, giving the latest an edge the coming season to have the opportunity to play a few regular games instead of Brady and that way, he’s able to gain more experience on the field, because I’m sure that after the 09/10 NFL season, Tom Brady will be in more than optimal conditions and it will be then that we will know if the experience gained by Cassel is going to help him to continue at the same level as that one of Tom Brady.
