Fun facts about NBA drafts

Michael Beasley was expected to be the number one picks at the NBA draft, but he went second after Derrick Rose. The player from Memphis got chosen before Beasley by the Chicago Bulls, good thing for Rose as he is a native of the wind city.
Beasley could even have ended as a third pick, as the Heat, the team with the second choice was more interested in OJ Mayo long before the draft took place, but after serious consideration, Michael Beasley was on his way to join Dwyane Wade.
Mayo finished third and went to the Timberwolves who soon after the draft was over trade OJ to the Grizzlies for Kevin Love.

Something interesting to noticed about this draft is that it is the first time that NCAA freshmen gets chosen in the first 3 places of the NBA draft.

New York fans weren’t too happy about his team’s choice, as the Knicks picked the number one european in the draft, Danilo Gallinari at number 6 and the booing didn’t stop for while.“It’s part of the game, all the players have got to hear this, not every time can you hear good things. It’s normal.” It’s all Gallinari said after his poor welcoming.

I am pretty sure the main picks knew where they were heading tolong before the draft, now it is just a matter of time to see if the teams are going to be pleased with the choices they made.
