There are some players that are plain troubled and the target for the police, this is the case of NBA player Carmelo Anthony.
Carmelo, 24, and who plays small forward for the Denver Nuggets got arrested and visited the court due to a DUI (driving under influence) charge, now he will be submitted to probation and community service. Carmelo’s lawyer Dan Recht said that the NBA All-Star would have done better if he wasn’t a pro basketball public figure, due to the tendency from the US police to have under control public figures.
This isn’t the first time that Carmelo Anthony gets under the eye of the law. Let’s recount a few other NBA scandals: “stop snitching” is a street video where he appeared telling people not to warn the police of crimes, that same year, he got caught with marijuana inside his backpack, and last season came the brawl where he got filmed throwing his fists to other NBA players at the Madison Square Garden.
We are surely expecting more news from Anthony, hopefully positive ones, as he got chosen to be part of the USA national basketball team during the Beijing Olympics.
