If you ask around for the most promising team this coming 2008 NFL football season, you will probably hear a lot about the Redskins.
Even more when you get to see Colt Brennan playing the way he did the first exhibition game for Washington when they beat the Colts 30-16, though Brennan will have to fight the starting QB position with the already experienced Jason Campbell.
Most critics are giving the Redskins only 9 wins and 7 losses; I say that we’ll need to wait at least a couple more games to see if they are going to show consistency or if they will fall to mediocrity before the real action starts. I think they will finish with at least 12 victories and will win the NFC East over the Eagles and the Cowboys.
Another two great additions for the Redskins are the veteran Jason Taylor who’s coming from the Dolphins and the Sooners rookie Malcolm Kelly, who is expected to work great along either Campbell or Brennan.
So the second most valuable franchise in NFL football has lots of strengths this time around, and Jim Zorn is confident on his renewed roster. I would say he has enough reasons for being so.
